The 3M Renaissance™ Vertical mouse is clinically proven to alleviate pain and discomfort of repetitive stress
injuries in the hand, wrist, or arm associated with the use of traditional
mice-which can pronate the forarm and wrist and typically presses the wrist and
carpal tunnel area against the desk. Traditional mouse designs mean you have to twist your forearm to put the palm of your hand in a horizontal position over the mouse. Because of this and the repetitive use of the index finger for clicking, the traditional mouse can contribute to Repetitive Stress Injury and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
The 3M™ Ergonomic Mouse has earned an Ease-of-Use Commendation from the Arthritis Foundation® for its patented, vertical grip design that
keeps your hand and wrist at a neutral angle, while the mouse works as
a regular optical mouse. Grip the handle and rest your hand on the
base. Use your thumb to left and right click. Wireless version includes a Soft-touch painted surface for added

This mouse has the following features:
- Resolution: 800 dpi
- Users rest the side of the hand at the base of the mouse and the thumb on the switch on the top of the stick for easy right and left clicks of the button using the thumb.
- Cursor controls are executed by moving the entire unit.
- Muscle strain on the forearm is much lower than with a conventional mouse.
- Only slight flexing of the wrist and slight twisting of the hand is required resulting in less pressure in the carpal tunnel area for greater comfort.
- Programmable third button scrolling feature (available on PC only) Third button may not work depending on user operating system default.
- Optical tracking for smoother, more accurate mousing.
- Optical sensor has no moving parts to wear out or clean
